WOW. Just Wow

This place really lives up to the name. We instantly fell in love with this place – the snow capped mountains and the little buzz the town had was a great start to this place.
The site was mint. It was right on the river (Ben was not a fan of the rapids 24/7, but I couldn’t care less). Being close to the river made us a bit paranoid about the boys so we were on high alert the whole time. But geez the spot was beautiful.
It started off getting firewood and the fire drum (it was cold ad raining). Eddie helped taking the wheelbarrow back but having a ride which was the best – nothing beats a kid laughing.
The caravan park was beautiful, well kept and clean. The camp lounge was nice and I could imagine sitting there with a coffee during the snowy months. The caravan park also had a small herb garden which i loved! What a great idea.
The park was close to the butcher, brewery, pubs and Main Street. It was also a short walk to the Pondage and the pebble walk was across the river from our camp site.
Eddie loved the playground that was along the pond walk which was great for all of us (we got exercise and he got a play!) it was an awesome park.

We did the Mount Beauty Gorge walk, where Eddies highlight was seeing a an old broken down car  at the start of the walk – which was his highlight until his first day at Beechworth. The walk was beautiful and we managed to get the pram all the way to the swing bridge where i grabbed Harvey out and we walked a bit further. We didn’t get to do the full gorge but we still enjoyed it.

We checked out the mermaid beach was so beautiful. The water was ridiculously clear and cold but i wish i had of taken my bathers. We did go back for a picnic with bens parents and that was really beautiful.

We went to Bogong village and went to fainter falls which was easier enough for Eddie to walk and me to have Harvey in the carrier. It was a beautiful walk and Ben really enjoyed it – which was saying see thing!

We went to the pub for tea which served good food with good service.

We will defiantly go back in winter for a snow season and also in summer where we can explore the pools and area a bit more.

Oh and the sunsets was epic!
